when we transitioned from Norm to Quin. There was a significant uptick in recruiting and talent, but it took a bit. Guys like Pat Schumaker and Kenge Stevenson stuck around for a year before leaving, and Johnnie Parker finished his eligibility just in a much more limited role. Eventually we got much better players than them, but it wasn't immediate.

We have to have players to play over these guys before they lose an opportunity. It isn't advantageous to just have open roster spots.
