I wouldn't be surprised if he at least tries. He's not a career politician, and he's certainly no ideologue, so he has no reason not to.
Trump's not worried about being seen as a good little Republican. He just doesn't want to be considered a 'loser.' If he concludes that working with the Democrats might give him some 'wins,' I think he'll go for it.
The Freedom Caucus may have overplayed their hand...
