Remember when things were at the worst with the Snyder debacle both the Star and Post/Dispatch were out there constantly uncovering new information. That never happens with the beaks. The Star will only publish negative information about their BB program, the other sports are fair game, once the info is such common knowledge that they are forced to report.
When the athletic department, campus cops, city cops, local prosecutors and the press all work together to protect the team above all else this is the result they get.
The funny thing is the beaks were our biggest bashers when we went to the SEC because they claimed it was such a dirty conference. The SEC is nothing compared to their program and the way the big xii protects them. I have discovered that the SEC looks after its own where as the big xii only looked after a very small handful of programs. Yes we are a very small fish in the SEC pond but it does not feel that way because IMO the SEC seems to treat all of its programs as equal partners wether they are or not.
The move to the SEC has been so refreshing to me. I still miss the decades old rivalries of the big xii but am so glad to be away from the toxicity.
