unnecessarily high. The idea that some insurance exec living in Hartford, CT should get a cut of YOUR health care costs is nothing but silly. The Exec gets a cut, the account rep gets a cut, the secretaries all get a cut, the shareholders all get a cut. And you wonder why premiums increase.
There is NO NEED to mandate that you be covered. In a simple system used basically everywhere in the world, you are covered. There is no sign up. There is no mandate. There is EITHER a slight tick up in your income tax/Cap gains OR - to insure EVERYONE is chipping in (which I certainly favor) it is a payroll tax.
Paid for. Done. Could have this implemented in six months maybe.
