It's interesting to hear you say this, because Bill Self has always struck me as a very likeable guy. I hate all things kU, and I think Self runs an unscrupulous program, but he's hard to hate on a personal level.
Larry Brown is a tool - he's easy to hate. Roy Williams is nice but he lays it on to the point of being a brown noser.
Self seems like the most grounded of all the beaker coaches I've rooted against. I'd take the success he's had at kU at Mizzou any day (without the rogue players and crazy moms of course)...
