It is hard to imagine what next year will be like, but it should be a lot more fun.
I was KA supporter, and I still think he got a raw deal in terms of what he inherited, and he improved the program overall in terms of the quality of the kids he brought in. Haith recruited talent, but most of them had issues. Anderson gave us some stability, and I will always believe he did a lot for Mizzou. It's too bad he just didn't produce wins. It was impossible to keep him after the poor record this last year. He just didn't get it done.
Hiring Cuonzo is totally different than the Haith or Anderson hires. Cuonzo is the real deal. There is no reason to think he will not recruit fairly well and have Mizzou winning 20+ games each year. It will be nice to see some excitement around the program again.
Bringing Porter Sr and Jr home is a real coup for the program. It will be very interesting to see what season ticket sales jump to in the next few months. Mizzou will have a lot more Network games next year.
Good times.
