Odd historical question, does anyone know what Martin was

doing in 1990-91? He graduated high school in the 1989-90 season as one of the top players in the country, committed to Purdue. But he didn't actually start playing for them until the 1991-92 season.

Did he redshirt, or not qualify and just sit out a year somehow? I don't see any record of him playing and the timeline doesn't make sense.
