I did not support the insurance industry crafted ACA. One thing you might want to know while you are trashing it is that rates of cost increases have slowed under the plan and it has provided coverage for some 20 million folks who didn't have it before.

The solution is a simple single-payer. There is no opt-in or opt-out. This is funded through your paycheck deductions - if you don't have a paycheck, it is covered through Cap Gains or SS or Pensions. Everyone contributes and everyone is covered. Does such a system cover absolutely everything in the world? No it doesn't. More exotic needs can be addresses in a niche insurance coverage. But past that there is no need for a middleman profiting off your need for health care. Single Payer.
