But the hire is not diminished one bit for me. CM wants to be here and that, to me, is the most important thing. This is big picture for me. Since Norm left, and I was happy he got forced out, rugged defense, rebounding, and toughness has been missing. I took Norm for granted big time, he was a very good coach. It was difficult for me to watch QS teams get bullied around by Sampson and the rest of the league. I'm hoping that CM can bring back that toughness and discipline so sorely missed the last eighteen years. Even with Porter my expectations for next year are measured because I'm looking at this through a five year lens. Build the program with ballers from all over, and he will get better as a coach. Grow the program and grow as a coach. He will break through and lead us to the FF for the first time. Anderson's 2009 team was tough, don't get me wrong, but Anderson didn't want to be here so he wasn't able to sustain it.
