bit hard to buy that his tenure as head coach, albeit brief, and likely qualified up front as being temporary, wouldn't have had some impact on his perspective about his future in Champaign. Illinois has clearly stipulated that his role is as an assistant for foreseeable future . If he were to move , And be given credit for being a key to turning a program around, one would think that his star would rise a little faster.
