But he is a cruddy politician. A limp republican determined to be the NYTimes favorite republican, despite the Times' attacks on him when he ran for president.

When was the last time the Times called a democrat a "maverick" for voting with the other side?

There is a clear line of separation between my respect and admiration and appreciation for his military service and my disdain for his cowardly and self serving political career.
