He just might do that. But it would go against his stated goal of being closer to 'home' in MO.
Also, most people believe Romar was fired solely because it was found out that Porter was going to leave for MU and there was no reason to keep Romar (as they had stated they were going to do) without the Porter kids.
Now, Porter might have used that ploy as bait to get himself freed up to shop around, but he could have shopped around and gone anywhere anyway with no need to play Mizzou along the way.
As far as us getting the Porter kids, I'll believe it when I see it. But if dad and the boys end up elsewhere, is shows a little poorly on Porter's reputation.
