Due to the fact that pollution has no concern over state lines, the federal govt in good judgement apply national standards. Back in the eighties - might have been the seventies too - the upper regions of Upstate New York were getting devastated as a result of pollution billowing out of smoke stacks in the mftr region of OH. The impacts were most dearly felt NOT in OH, but in New York.,

Therefore federal regs make a great deal of sense. Thanks for playing
