HCCM's pitch to Tilmon & Smith...

Until word comes out of Tilmon's recommitment and Mark Smith's commitment to Illinois, I will believe they are in play. Here's what I think Cuonzo's pitch is (assuming he knows the Porter brothers will be Tigers next fall)

We have the chance to do something not just special, but historic at MIZZOU next year....the two of you combined with MPJ, Jontay Porter and CJ Roberts....

1) are tremendous fits. They will fill the point, small forward and power forward. You will fill the shooting guard and the post.

2) I'm new to the school so I'm coming in with a clean slate. The entire starting lineup is up for grabs.

3) you 5 could be HISTORIC...

a) FAB FIVE HISTORIC
b) WORST TO FIRST HISTORIC

4) the returning players have experience, grit and good talent, you bring elite talent. Adding you five to the mix we will have dominant players and quality role players. That is a championship roster.

5) Coach Underwood is a good coach, but this will only be his 2nd season at the P5 level and his first in the Big 10. He will have a steep learning curve to learn that conference and those coaches. This will be my 7th year at the P5 level. I know what it takes to win at that level and adding you five puts us at that level. This will be my 4th year in the SEC. I know the conference, I know the coaches, I've coached in every arena. We will hit the ground running!!!!

JOIN ME, MPJ, JONTAY AND CJR AT MIZZOU AND LET'S MAKE HISTORY!!!!
