Wins and losses is only part, not the entire thing. Image of the program, attendance (how many times would a real home court crowd have motivated the Mizzou players/rattled the opponents, and made a difference in those close losses? we lost 6 home games by 5 points or less, as people openly campaigned for seats to be empty-well done?), perception of recruits and/or their family members regarding Mizzou, life in Columbia, quality of life while at the University good or bad/which includes the company they keep, quality of the others involved in the program. With all of the baggage, and all of the accusations, this program has to be squeaky clean to clear the stench, and keep the NCAA away. We need fans to stop constantly badmouthing the program in public when things don't go right. Some have made a career of it. And some have made a career of attacking fans who want to be supportive of the program, even when it's subpar. If everyone abandoned, there would be no program. The solution is not abandonment. Attacking people who are concerned about the public image of the University from a moral point of view is another form of self destruction. For those who failed to notice, BLM was an accusation of moral failure. And moral issues are not limited to race equality.
These are a few of the ways the school can be impacted, for good or for bad.
