Freedom allows division to thrive. The founders knew this would happen and quite frankly the American democratic experiment wasn't expected to last long. Freedom allows everyone an opinion and sphere of influence including those who mean to undermine the democratic process. Freedom gives the honest citizenry a powerful voice. Freedom also grants the same power to enemies of the state.

Divide and conquer thru the democratic process.
