try using building blocks to count the numbers.
One block equals a billion .
your base is 100
you take away 35 and add 54 billion.
What does that equal Spanky? 119? maybe not for you but it does for me.
next year your base is 65. you take away 35 you get 30.
But no dufus you are not taking away the 54 so your base is 119. So the next year you take away 35 but you are still adding the 54.
Play with the blocks , juggle them , make towers , Hell try and eat them. The math is still the same.
