So she writes an article on the travails of being a "tweener." Neither black nor white.

The agony she endures.

This is what is wrong with liberalism. Why not get off the self pity and have a conversation, even a laugh? Why not pretend that your race or color is not the thing that defines you? Why not engage?

Better to find safety in sanctimony, relief in self righteousness.

Be offended, it's easier.

It is more important that offense be taken rather than opportunity. Opportunity to engage and discuss. My guess is that the horribly offensive question was intended to be nothing of the sort. Just a question about nationality and ethnicity.

Is that taboo?

If you could not determine someone's nationality based on a foreign accent, dare you ask?

The standard lib think suggests that any question about ethnicity, nationality or race is based on white supremacy and the question is to determine how much below white you are.
