Regarding the next coach

Whomever is selected, there is a rather strong likelihood that they will 'fail' by any normal definition of success at MU. The next couple years are going to be dismal, and there are significant challenges to rebuilding MU to a place of being nationally competitive. Whomever takes this job is looking for either 1) a money grab sizable enough to offset the undesirable aspects of what will be inherited or 2) looking to escape someplace else. Or maybe both.

There is a very good chance that we are two coaches away, and by that I mean that this hire will hopefully re-position us to at some future point being able to make a great hire. It would be awesome if Sterk was able to make a great hire in these circumstances, but priority 1 is starting a massive rebuild.
