Ivey will be looking at candidates who are high energy, have enthusiasm, are positive, strong communication skills, puts the student-athlete first, has a really, really strong recruiting ability, communication skills and the ability to teach the game of basketball.
Ivey is also adamant that the next coach of Austin Peay basketball comes from a successful program.
“If you know how to win then you know how to lead a team to win. That’s going to be key for us moving forward,” he said.
