coaching, I disagree with the last part of this statement:
"All things being equal coaching can absolutely drive results, its probably the most important single factor."
I would suggest that in D1 basketball "roster talent" (how you described it) is probably the most important single factor. Coaching is important, but I think it ranks second to talent attainment.
That's why Scott Drew is a fairly successful coach. The x and o part is highly overrated - most of these programs run the same stuff anyway.
We need a recruiter who can coach. Good enough.
