I had said and will continue to say that a travel ban from anywhere is not going to increase our safety or national security. It is mostly to appease the crazies who voted for Trump.

Yes, anyone who wants to come here legally should be allowed and let those in who are seeking asylum. Come and provide a service for our country if you are so inclined. We should welcome a multicultural society as it is what America is all about.

I said lowering to historical levels like pre WW2 is isolationist and xenophobic and will do very little to increase our safey or national security. It is, at the heart of it, an attempt to prevent the continued multiculturalization of our country by white dudes in power.

I have always been and always will be a proponent of legal immigration and admitting asylum seekers. My family fled Russia prior to the revolution due to increased anti-semitism and threats against Jews. Whether you like it or not, we are all immigrants from somewhere and we should continue to be a nation of immigrants.
