Kim came in to a difficult situation, but it was no more or less difficult than most coaches taking over their first head coaching job. Most first time coaches are coming into a program where the coach got fired for losing, cheating or getting arrested. Kim had 2 out of those 3 problems to deal with. He did not handle them well and he was fired because of his ability and nothing to do with the difficult situation he inherited.
