Why should we care about 2% of the welfare budget being stolen? Here is why, welfare programs are estimated to cost us about $1,000 billion dollars per year. That is one trillion dollars per year that go to some means tested programs.

What is a 'measly' 2% of one trillion? Just twenty billion that is stolen from the US coffers each and every year. I'm sure you can find other departments, defense anyone, that misplace as much or more. Does that mean we cannot be concerned about $20 billion dollars lost every year?
