Meant the contractors had to buy American made product in federally funded projects. That would make too much sense however. The Act classifies steel made in any country we have a free trade agreement with or Is a GPA signator of the WTO as an American made product.

The similarly named Buy America Act only covers federally funded transportation projects. That Act requires American made material be used and does not carve out an exception for free trade agreement or WTO signators.

Does that make any sense at all? Of course not! It's just another example of how stupid politicians of both parties worked diligently to harm American workers
