Ummm, because we share long-standing cultural, historical, economic and political ties with the British?
The Russians? Not so much. Trump's dialog with the Russians is all the more interesting given the political hay the Republicans have cultivated over the decades by portraying the Russians as one of our greatest threats.
For a good 40 years the Republicans considered the Russians THE single greatest threat. Now Trump wants to braid Putin's hair and share s'mores with him.
But you probably don't know about any of this or care to know. And if you're a typical Trump supporter, that's a point of pride to you.
