I never really watch Prez addresses

for many reasons but one is they are all the same:
meaningless empty promises and platitudes for a couple of lines followed by the mindless applause of the trained sea lions.
But I unfortunately usually catch a minute or two like I did last night as the womenfolk were watching it when I got home.
Trump actually bragged about the largest military spending increase in history (probably a lie anyway but still) and followed with that about finally taking care of the Bushco veterans - to wild applause from the body of government which has consistently abused them.

I'd rather watch the stupid Oscars, which I never watch.
