yes Romar has that on his roster currently and his team still sucks. But it would still be historic for Mizzou to sign MPJ and if Romar could get some good recruits on campus for 2-3 years then we fire him/he retires and the next coach actually coaches up the talent he brought in, that might be as fast a path to a rebuild as any.
People are very focused on Romar's recent seasons. But it doesn't always translate. What indication was there that Haith was capable of ever producing a 30 game winner when he was hired by Mizzou, regardless of how experienced a roster he was given? Hell his senior laden Tulsa team last year was a middling bubble bunch. But somehow in his first year at Mizzou he went 30-5. Romar has produced Pac-12 title teams in the past. You never know when that dice roll might work again. Doubtful, but you never know.
