Basketball ticket revenues dropped by about $1 million from 2014-15, to 2015-16 ($4.7 to $3.7m), so I'd say the earlier numbers from the Post Dispatch include all sources of revenue, given that the figures are about double.
The "net revenue" surplus shrank to $3.38 million for 2015-16, which is the lowest in some time. At least $1.3 of that was the result in the post-season ban and reduced payouts from the NCAA and SEC as a result of that.
