He knew communism was but a flawed political ideology that wouldn't last - and he was right.

Russia is no longer communist. The fact that people are in power who were part of the government of the USSR doesn't change that fact one iota.

Reagan, if he were alive, would absolutely support having better relations with Russia. He would also agree with many of Putin's positions.
