Response Is a perfect example. Instead of rolling up their slaves on substantive issues the Dems stalled. All night protest for example.

This was not a winning issue for them in the public's eyes. It also was not likely one they win in the championship er with votes.

The Dems are swinging at everything to pander to their ever more radical base, and losing their more moderates.

The Repubs on the other hand better start passing bills, or at least get them out there where the public clearly sees the Dems holding them up, or they will lose their base
