Being a teacher for many years I know realistically what she did was dumb, but why?

She advocated for the enforcement of current laws. How is that controversial? She was, in effect, suspended for supporting public safety. How many of her colleagues posting on the same subject were in favor of lawlessness? So how was she the one who was suspended?
