Maybe she knows it in Slovenian instead and needed it written in English to recite along with the audience. A direct translation off the cuff from Slovenian probably wouldn't match the English version exactly.

I used to know it in Latin and if I were to try to translate it directly in English from Latin the words would be ordered a bit differently so that an audience wouldn't be able to recite it along with me in my English translation.

So, the best thing is to have the version people are familiar with written to read instead of translating on the fly.
