Scientists, usually to their credit, want to push the limits of human knowledge and ability. But there are places we shouldn't go.
We should not create life for spare parts.
We should not choose the sex or IQ of unborn children. If we did, no one would choose stupid kids and the semi stupid would have no one to look down upon.
There will be opportunities for this kinda thing to save lives. And to ruin mankind.
Nobody's perfect. This has the potential to make everyone perfect.
Everyone has an IQ of 140.
Everyone can bench press 500 pounds.
Everyone can run the 100 meters in 9.0.
No one gets sick.
Everyone lives forever.
