Don't know this guy, but most people I've encountered

I knew a guy who said as if he invented the saying, that a mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
That's a great bumper sticker.
He was a radical if confused leftist, railing against conservatives and asking everyone to approach his drivel with an open mind.
The idiots who say we need an open and honest discussion on race, and then tell everyone what to think. Or be called a racist.
Global warming is settled science, if you don't believe it is man made and that it portends the apocalypse you are closed minded and a science denier.
It's like the No Labels politicians. They say they are just interested in doing what is best, not in which party wins. The group is comprised of moderate to liberal Ds and squishy moderate repulicans.
And surprisingly, virtually all of the non partisan conclusions favor the left.
What this guy said actually makes sense. The left often takes things that make sense, like an open and honest discussion on race, and use it to proselytize or cajole people to their point of view.
It's sweet. Like we should all get along and love each other.
Or i'll kill you.
