Heupel Offenses before last year avg just over 30 min time of possession. Last year we were dead last at 24. With 10 starters returning and knowing the offense, I think that number will normalize to prior years. Taking advantage of our running game will help this. In turn, will hopefully help our defense with rest, and good field position. Our 2007 and 2013 offense, more so 2007, rarely put our defense in bad positions.

Creating Turnovers was key to those previous teams. It seamed like when we needed a turnover, it was provided. Straight ball hawks. That was Steckel. I have a feeling this years defense will be more aggressive and create havoc. It started to show a little bit last year.

Those teams were special for Mizzou, and had great leaders. I'm not sure if it will all come together like those seasons, but there should be a lot of fire coming off 2 straight losing seasons.
