So a whole segment of society refuses to serve a segment of society...that is wrong...completely wrong. That is why I disagree with your points of view "taken to the extreme" We are part of a society..no a bunch of Neanderthals.
One would hope that society is advanced enough we don't need stupid rules like this, but cases like this prove that is not true.
Here is one of two things I would have preferred to happen.
One - long time customer comes in and orders flowers for gay wedding...store says sure..we could use the business...we don't necessarily like what you are doing and don't want to deliver or set it up..let's see how we can get that done.
Two - long time customer comes in and orders flowers for gay wedding...store says hell no....customer says..ok...well if you don't I will post this on facebook and everywhere I can to show you are a bigoted business and my friends won't do business with you again, and I will make sure to promote the business that gives me business for my expensive wedding.
Either one or two would not have had to involve the State at all. Instead, two advocacy groups with political agendas got all involved and wasted everyone's time.
