he denied to the FBI that he had discussed the sanctions with the Russian ambassador. The FBI has an ongoing investigation and will not comment publicly. However, they told Acting AG Yates about the lie, who went to the WH and informed them about Flynn's actions.

Hope that offers some clarity.
