how his presidency affects the country, the second is how the historians record it.
With obama, by any objective measure, he has been a disaster. But his plaque on mt rushmore and in the hallways of the 1,00 schools and libraries named for him will mention that he was black and that he cared.
He fought racism and oppression and against seemingly insurmountable odds, led the country to the greatest recovery after a worst recession in history.
He won the no-bull puss prize.
Blahblahblah.
If trump is great, it will be because of the easy path that obama left him and fortunate international circumstances over which he had no control or influence. He will be given little credit and a decent president with the same set of circumstances would have done much better.
If he does poorly, it will be attributed to him being a greedy racist who sacrificed the constitution at the altar of personal wealth.
How he does is not yet knowable.
How he will be recorded is easy.
