I see the subject of Mizzou hiring Quin Snyder over Bill Self has come up again. Obviously, in hind sight it was not a good decision, however that was not how it looked at the time.

One fact that folks need to remember is that Self's big season at Tulsa, something like 26 wins against a couple of losses and a fairly deep run in the NCAA came the season after he interviewed for the MU job. That season made Self a hot commodity and landed him the Illinois job. Again, it came after he interviewed for the Tiger job.
