If you look at our two most successful seasons of late (11-12 and 08-09), we won big without kids from St. Louis leading the way (some kids from KC were rather important though). So it certainly can be done without kids from the east side of the state. It would definitely be nice to get the top St. Louis players to Mizzou, but that should not make or break our program. Recruiting is a key though regardless of where the talent comes from and that is an area the current staff has completely failed.
