Handmaiden is a striking and the most mind-blowingly gorgeous film I have seen in 20 years. Maybe its NC-17 rating or that it is Japanese/Korean hurts.

I don't the pics were all that great this year. Manchester by the Sea - while a GORGEOUS town and a terrifically subdued lead performance by affleck, I didn't find all that great. Not much out there, in my not remotely humble opinion.
