i don't like party line votes and obstructionist politics. i'm far from able to recite history on when that became so prevalent, though it seems amplified in the last 20 years-or maybe that's just the time i have been able to observe. both parties played a role in its amplification, including the sequestor, shutdown, hijacking of the ussc appointment.
the devos selection is questionable on a number of fronts. i don't think that selection fits within the obstructionist category.
