Our FB program is down.

Our BB program is down.

And we had a polarizing political incident alienate a large faction of the fan base.

All of those things combined make it absolutely vital to hit a home run with this hire, to give the fan base something to "get fired up" about again, as you said. It would go a long way towards healing the wounds and helping people forget what happened 15 months ago.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
