This could be a potentially serious Title IX situation. Here you have a woman who this "student" beat in 2015, gets put on double secret "probation" and a year later the same guy is vandalizing her car.
Like Title IX or not, KU has an obligation to provide for her - assuming she's a student - a safe, harrassment-free learning environment. And KU allows him to beat her, continue in school, and then a year later, vandalize her car, with apparently no intent on doing anything.
Self and the administration needs to very carefuly consider how to proceed. Part of protecting the program they've built over there may necessarily need to involve holding their players accountable for fouls committed off the court.
Expecting 18-21 year old kids to be perfect is a fool's errand. So is continually looking the other way, especially when their exploits are harmful to others.
