I think the most positive thing about this class is the immediate needs we filled, especially along both lines. However, I think expectations on their immediate impact should be tempered based off of the last 15 years of recruiting defensive linemen (the most coveted position in recruiting) when Mizzou depends on finding (not placed) JUCO players to fill out their class. Below is every JUCO DL signed since Coach Pinkel started, their career acheivements at Mizzou, and what was said about them coming out of JUCO.
JUCO DEFENSIVE LINEMEN NOT PLACED BY MIZZOU OUT OF HS
George Lane (2004) 0 starts at Mizzou

DeMarcus Scott (2005) 1 start at Mizzou
Ranked as the No. 40 junior college prospect in the nation, regardless of position, by SuperPrep
Chad Marshall (2005) 0 starts at Mizzou
An outstanding late commit for Mizzou who has a chance to make immediate contributions on the Tiger defensive line in 2005
Tommy Chavis (2006) 2-year impact player. Honorable Mention All-Big XII
Was a standout defensive player for Kilgore College
Andy Maples (2007) 0 starts

Super Prep also ranked him as the nation's No. 57 overall JUCO recruit (all positions)
Brian Coulter (2008) 2-year contributor playing in 25 games. 5.0 career sacks, 73 total tackles.
Former Florida State signee.
Marcell Frazier (2015) 8 career starts at Mizzou. Likely 2017 starter on DL after 7.5 sacks in ‘16
