Before 9/11 you would've said terrorists flying two jets into the World Trade Center causing both towers to completely collapse was a leap.
9/11 killed approximately the same amount of people as Pearl Harbor.
FDR signed the immigration ban 1 day after Pearl Harbor.
16 years after 9/11 and MANY terrorist attacks later, we're just getting to the point of suspending (not banning) immigration from hostile countries.
