it. More and more regulations, ignoring enforcement of immigration laws, and ever-expansion of government 'services'. It isn't the politicians alone; their voters are also win-at-all-costs (pragmatism).

They even show up here repeating talking points they couldn't have critically looked into for even 3 minutes, and then move the goalposts when questioned. The Democrats have cultivated a smug, passive-aggressive voter base which is confident in the extreme in the message they are given, and they don't even realize it. The cool thing is Trump's media team (and his cultivated style, ugly though it can be) found the skeptical edges of that Coalition of the Mostly Lazy and Somewhat Ignorant and worked it in key states, carving out a nice victory.
