It wouldn't surprise me if we don't get 1 or 2 more in that category before we're done. Obviously all but one so far are high 3 stars.
For comparison, in 2016 we got 7, including Harry Ballard who should be coming back to us. That class was ranked 46th.
In 2015, we also had 7. That class was ranked 27th.
In 2014, we again had 7. That class was ranked 35th.
In 2013, guess what? We had 7 again. That class was ranked 40th.
In 2012, we had 6. That class was ranked 32nd.
In 2011, the heart of our division-winning teams, we only had 5.
Just for fun, I checked the class of 2005. That's Chase Daniel's class. We had TWO 5.7 or better players in that class. It still produced several starters, including Ziggy Hood, and Chase Coffman, who werent in the two. That class was ranked 39th.
