Do you know how the UN works?
The US demanded these sanctions hold - the ones on PVC piping primarily that prevented Iraq from rebuilding the waterworks infrastructure that the US-led war destroyed. Most all in the UN wanted these lifted. The US said no.
Were you the dipweed who posted the page of photos that showed the same people in most the pics - indicating that a few places in the middle east celebrated. And if I was a Palestinian - you could not have stopped me from celebrating. The poster suggested all the middle east celebrated. Just silly.
It is as naive as to say 'well gee Beav, if the Muslims don't like the terrorists how come they don't stop 'em?'
That you don't know the real story behind our invasion of Iraq - an international war crime - then I cannot help you.
